Tray popover

What the tray popover shows — spend, provider usage limits, current session, and how to reach Settings.

Opening it

Click the antiburn icon in the menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows, Linux) to open the popover. It’s the everyday surface — Settings lives in its own window, reached from here.

Spend summary

The top of the popover shows three columns: Today, Last 7 days, and Last 30 days. Each shows an API-equivalent dollar estimate when antiburn can price every model involved, or a token count when it can’t. These are spend estimates computed from your transcripts against the current model-price catalog — not a bill, and not a percentage of anything.

Usage limits

Below the spend summary, antiburn shows a ring for each provider that has reported a plan limit — a percentage of your five-hour or weekly allowance, straight from that provider, not derived from your local transcripts. A ring appears only once a provider has answered; providers that failed to answer keep a degraded slot naming the failure rather than disappearing outright, and a reading older than an hour is marked stale rather than aging silently.

Click the disclosure to expand the ring row into a full list: one segmented meter per provider window, each with its percentage used and its reset time. Hovering a ring or the expanded list briefly shows more detail in a small companion window next to the popover.

This section only appears once a provider has something to show — it’s controlled by the “Keep my plan limits current” switch in Settings → Usage. Turn that off and the whole section disappears, along with the milestone notifications that depend on it.

The session list

Below the usage summary is your recent activity: one row per session, from whichever agents antiburn has found, ordered by recency. Each row shows the session’s agent icon, title, and hygiene checks; clicking a row opens that session’s analysis in the same window.

The current session. A session that wrote a transcript line in roughly the last three minutes is marked active — its row is highlighted and its title shimmers — so you can tell which session is live right now versus one you were recently working in.

How far back the list reaches is controlled by Settings → General’s “Show the last” slider (1–14 days); that only changes what’s listed, not what’s stored.

Opening Settings

The footer of the popover carries the app name and version (click it to open antiburn’s GitHub repository) and a gear icon at the right — click it to open the standalone Settings window.
